Policies & Studio Information for Slinky Productions Private Group Classes / Bachelorette Parties

@ Slinky Productions San Francisco or Oakland Studios:

  • We charge flat rates for up to 15 people. After 15 there is a $10/person charge, regardless if they choose to participate or not. See current rates.
  • A deposit of half your total holds your space. See deposit.
  • We have two beautiful, large, mirrored studios. One is centrally located in San Francisco SoMA and the other in West Oakland/Emeryville. Both venues have pretty easy parking.
  • Pole dancing is available at both the SF and Oakland studios. We have 3 x 11 foot poles in Oakland studio and 3 x 11 foot poles in San Francisco studio.
  • Men are permitted at private parties-it is your choice.
  • Videotape/digital recording of class is not permitted. Still photography is fine. Unauthorized use of class recordings or still photography is subject to the federal Copyright Act, California Civil Code, and Slinky Productions policies as stated on www.slinkyproductions.com and may subject an individual or corporation to legal proceedings brought by Catherine Rose and Slinky Productions. This includes but is not limited to posting footage on the Internet without written permission.
  • You have the option to bring in light snacks (veggies, fruit) and light colored drinks including alcohol. You take full responsibility for cleaning up food/beverages at the end of the class, including taking out all garbage created. Please do not bring in dinner or greasy foods.
  • All party members must be 18 years old or over.
  • Please read our cancellation policies.

Paying a Deposit to Confirm your Party

  • A deposit of half your total confirms your reservation.
  • *The easiest way to confirm your reservation is to make a credit card payment over the telephone. Please call the office at 510-465-7607 10AM-7PM PST.
  • If you have paid using a credit card, your balance will be charged on the same credit card after your class. We accept Visa and MasterCard and PayPal.
  • If you prefer to use PayPal to make your deposit, we will send you a PayPal invoice. Once we receive payment, you will receive your party confirmation and contract.
  • You can also send in a personal check to hold your reservation. Once it has cleared, you will receive your confirmation.
  • If you have paid using a check or PayPal, your balance is due before your class begins in cash. Please note that we cannot send out a second PayPal invoice AFTER your class because your balance needs to be paid in full on the same day as your party.
  • If you are collecting cash from other people in your party, please do so ahead of time. Do not ask the Instructor to collect cash from individuals.
  • You must let the office know if you are paying your balance with cash at least 24hrs before your party because your Instructor needs to be informed ahead of time.

*We recommend using a credit card to pay your deposit because you do not need to spend any time dealing with paying the balance before your class.

@ Off-site Location:(Your Home, Office, Hotel, etc...)

  • Off-site parties. We will travel anywhere within 60 miles of Downtown San Francisco/Downtown Oakland CA. There is a travel fee. See current rates
  • We have a minimum of 2 hours for off-site parties unless they are within 15 minutes commute of the office in Oakland.
  • We no longer offer rental poles for off-site parties. You are welcome to purchase a pole beforehand. Read the Slinky Guide to Buying a Dancer Pole. We can recommend a pole that is best for your needs. * Book a 2 hour off-site party and receive 10% off the purchase of a new pole wehn you make this purchse at the same time. (You must order your pole over the phone and not through the website.)

  • For groups over 15, drop in class participants (over 15) will be charged $10/person regardless if they participate.
  • Host is fully responsible for gathering the group to start on time. The instructor is not responsible for staying over-time if group arrives late or does not gather in a timely manner.
  • Men are permitted at private parties-it is your choice.
  • Videotape/digital recording of class is not permitted. Still photography is fine. Unauthorized use of class recordings or still photography is subject to the federal Copyright Act, California Civil Code, and Slinky Productions policies as stated on www.slinkyproductions.com and may subject an individual or corporation to legal proceedings brought by Catherine Rose and Slinky Productions. This includes but is not limited to posting footage on the Internet without written permission.
  • You have the option to serve light snacks (veggies, fruit) and drinks (wine, champagne OK-no hard liquor for pole classes). Please do not serve a huge meal or greasy foods.
  • Balance is due before party begins. Host is responsible for providing the balance or making arrangements otherwise.
  • While we understand that plans may shift as you get closer to the date, last minute changes to the duration or time of parties are not always possible, especially during high season (Spring/Summer) when classes may be booked back to back months ahead.
  • All party members must be 18 years old or over.
  • Please read our cancellation policies.

More In-House Studio Policies for Private Parties: Arrival Time & Latenesss

  1. Class participants have the option to arrive up to 5-7 minutes before start time.
  2. Class participants will not arrive ahead of time and knock on the studio door. (There may be a group right before). Guest are responsible for arriving on time and finding parking.
  3. If your party is late to the studio, your time is forfeited. Please call Catherine’s cell phone at 510-910-3975 if you are going to be more than 5 minutes late. If party is more than 20 minutes late, and does not call, we reserve the right to cancel your party and you will still be responsible for the balance. Please do not negotiate for an extension at the last minute. The studios are booked ahead of time.
  4. While we understand that plans may shift as you get closer to the date, last minute changes to the duration or time of parties are not always possible, especially during high season (Spring/Summer) when classes may be booked back to back months ahead.
  5. You have read the *Pole Requirements and will take full responsibility for sharing this information with your class participants.

Cancellation Policies

  1. If your party does not show up, you are still responsible for any due payment for the entirety of the event.
  2. If you cancel within 7 days of the event, you forfeit 100% of deposit. You may cancel up until midnight the day before your party.
  3. Same day cancellations will be charged for the full amount. Your card will be run for the balance of your party.
  4. If you cancel more than 7 days in advance of the event, you will be reimbursed the full value of the deposit, minus a $20 administration fee.
  5. If your check bounces, we will charge you a $25 fee.

*Pole Requirements:

  • There is a 195lb weight limit on our removable poles.
  • On the day of the class, class participants must refrain from wearing any oils or moisturizers, as this impedes pole gripping for everyone and can make it dangerous.
  • For pole dancing, class participants must wear either sporty shorts, boy shorts, or any clothing that permits skin to pole contact.
  • Class participants must remove all metal rings, watches and bracelets before going on the pole.
